Pair of Oak 232 Cabinets Børge Mogensen

Description

A pair of model 232 sideboards designed by Børge Mogensen in 1951. Manufactured by cabinetmaker C.M. Madsen for FDB.

The sideboards' tops, flanks and fronts are made from oiled solid oak. Internally the cabinets' feature a mixture of adjustable/removable shallow drawers and shelves in beech. The units have attractive, simple-looking brass locking mechanisms with keys that double up as door handles. Both sideboards stand, sturdily, on distinctive oak legs.

Each cabinet stamped with cabinet maker's mark and that of the FDB.
