Trio of Occasional Tables
Nanna Ditzel

£800

Description:

A trio of vintage occasional tables in turned and lacquered maple wood, designed by Nanna Ditzel and made by Brdr. Krüger, 1981.
Each tables' diameter is unique and their tops have a concentric circle carved into them which creates a raised perimeter. The rim or lip, aside from its decorative value, allows the tables to be stacked on top of each other which makes the tables incredibly practical and versatile. Two stacked tables are about the height of a side table used by a settee.
Mirroring the circular table tops are the five cylindrical legs on each table. Each one of these is fitted with turned wooden rings and a knuckle which suspends them in the top half of the legs. The tops and legs of all three tables’ are red and black respectively. The two rings which adorn each of the legs on the smaller tables are blue and red. In addition to these colours, the largest table has a third ring in orange.
The tables have always been a trio, have all been used and subsequently have age related wear.
