Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel, Denmark, 1950s
Description:
The 'Ring' armchair was designed by Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel in the 1950s and produced by the master cabinetmaker Kolds Savvaerk. Four teak javelin-shaped legs, support the newly upholstered boucle seat and upper ring forming the arms and backrest.
The ergonomic seat and backrest are wider than average, allowing for multiple seating positions. The chair is refined in its execution and design, but intended to be supremely relaxing in practice.
