Model MK52 Two-Seater Sofa
Mogens Koch
Description:
A vintage two seat sofa, Model No* MK52, designed by Mogens Koch in 1936 and made by cabinetmaker Rudolf Rasmussen, circa 1950.
The slenderness of settee's tub-seat and wooden base and the fact that the two are visibly conjoined gives the design a lightness and quiet elegance.
The petiteness and understated quality of the piece is also supported by the naturalness of the upholstery and the olive-green coloured leather-covered upholstery pins which highlight the construction.
Presently, a total of two MK52's and two MK51 armchairs are available. Both sofas are newly upholstered and feature down feather topped cushions.
