A set of 4 laminated birch plywood chairs, made in Sweden during the early-1950s.
Similar in form, although larger in dimension, this set of 4 birch plywood chairs resemble the form of midcentury plywood school chairs; light in weight and easily stackable.
The birch plywood has developed a wonderfully rich, honey-like patina across all ten chairs, heightening the rich striations of the wood grain which are most evident across the seats and curved sides of the laminated legs.
Whilst there are signs of wear on the legs of the set, all 4 chairs are structurally sound and have only had minor cosmetic repairs.
