Oak & Teal Leather Armchair
Axel Larsson, 1936
£1,500
Description:
An astonishingly visually-light armchair designed by Axel Larsson in 1936 for AB Svenska Möbelfabrikerna in Bodafors, Sweden.
The open and slender frame of the chair is made from solid oak. Whilst two slings of thick teal-coloured leather create hammocks in the seat and back rest. Stitched within both leather panels is the same horizontally running zigzag pattern.
Despite being approximately 80 years old, the chair remains structurally perfect, and the wood and leather both boast a rich and even patina.
