Chair 11/611 by Alvar Aalto, Finland, 1920/30s.
A very early design at which Alvar Aalto worked together with his wife Aino and with Otto Korhonen, this chair is made in birch plywood and was originally black, repainted at some point in white. A metal tag on the underside covered by white paint is still partially readable and says J.G. Dunn and Sons, referring to Dunn’s of Bromley who was retailing the chair at the time.
In overall good condition.
