Large Wicker Lamp Unique 1960s Piece

Description

A large statement piece table lamp made of woven cane, created around 1960. The light is impressive in its scale and unique regards its construction. Visually the light appears to me made of just intricately woven cane and brass. As a result, despite the size of the piece, the lamp looks and feels light and airy. The wicker work has developed a brilliantly varied patina as have the brass elements. Underneath the cone of cane that makes up the shade is essentially a second lamp shade covered in a sand colored textured cotton. Combined the brand new card and textile and original wicker diffuse the light wonderfully.
