Large Oval Walnut & Brass Tray
Carl Auböck
Description
An oblong wooden tray with brass handles designed and made by Carl Auböck II, circa 1950. The large yet minimal tray carved from solid walnut has a rim just 2 mm tall which adds elegance and functionality to the design. Securely screwed to each end are cast brass handles which mimic the oval shape of the board. The tray shows little to no signs of use or wear despite its age and remains a very usable piece. Both the wood and brass boast a light even patina.
