Description
Small desk in birch plywood by Alvar Aalto, designed and made in the 1930s, it is a clear example of how Aalto obviated to the problem of connection between perpendicular elements in a piece of furniture.
This table does not have a real framework; each pair of legs consist of a single piece of wood bent and attached directly to the top with screws, without any further support of connection.
